AKC Canine Good Citizen Test

AKC offers the ability for owners to certificate or title with their well-mannered dogs through Canine Good Citizen. Synergy Dog will conduct the AKC’s ten step test allowing your dog to demonstrate their ability to:

  1. Allow a friendly stranger to approach

  2. Allow a stranger to pet

  3. Allow gentle grooming type handling

  4. Walk without pulling on lead

  5. Walk mannerly through a small crowd of people

  6. Sit, Down, Stay

  7. Come

  8. Tolerate another dog at 8’ away, while both dogs are on leash

  9. Not overly startle when a distraction presents

  10. Be comfortable when on leash with another person while owner leaves room for 3 minutes

  • Cancellation policy: We plan our schedule around your schedule in order to provide your dog with the very best of care. If cancellation is necessary, no refunds will be provided but we will happily schedule you for another class.
