Well-Rounded Puppy Group Class

Through our Well-Rounded Puppy Group Class, we provide socialization with safe, positive interactions. In this group class, we offer play time with other puppies as well as helping each pup navigate new environmental situations while building confidence.

During these 45 minute group socialization sessions, we’ll:

  • Show you how to help your pup navigate new experiences— when to encourage and coax your pup and when to allow them to say “no thanks”

  • Provide opportunities to guide your pup through an obstacle and agility course to build confidence and teach your pup that he is safe in this new big world

  • Provide supervised play time with other appropriate dogs*

*If unavailable, basic obedience skills will be taught

Our goal is to help each pup grow into a well-rounded, resilient adult dog—comfortable with the world around them and capable of building positive relationships with people and other dogs.

This program is for puppies age 2 mos to 5 mos. Some smaller breed puppies will be accepted up to age 6 months. Two distemper/parvo vaccines required for this group class. Reach out with any questions or check in with your veterinarian.

Our Essential Obedience group classes are available for puppies older than 5 months and we offer private sessions for dogs of any age.

Sessions take place at Synergy Dog Training Center in NW Longmont.

“During [the first three months of life] puppies should be exposed to as many new people, animals, stimuli and environments as can be achieved safely and without causing overstimulation manifested as excessive fear, withdrawal or avoidance behavior,” the AVSAB position statement says. “For this reason, the American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior believes that it should be the standard of care for puppies to receive such socialization before they are fully vaccinated.”
