Resources

Longmont Humane Society

Synergy Dog supports this important community resource. We hope you will visit them and consider adopting a new family member, visit their low cost Well Pet Clinic, or volunteer. You might even enjoy fostering for them — Synergy Dog volunteers our time by fostering dogs with behavioral needs but LHS needs foster families for everything including kittens, adult cats and dogs with medical conditions.

National Canine Research Council

NCRC brings together leading experts in academia from all over the world who provide the highest quality research, policy recommendations, and analysis on a full range of canine behavior science topics.

Greenwood Rehab

The largest wildlife rehab center in Colorado, Boulder County community is fortunate to have such a resource, devoted to the rehabilitation and release of orphaned, injured and sick wildlife.

Animal Farm Foundation

Bringing dogs and people together to end discrimination. Visit their website for resources to combat breed specific housing restrictions and find factual information about dogs labeled as "pit bulls".

Dogs Playing For Life

A vital, non-profit program supporting shelters around the country. DPFL teaches shelter staff and volunteers how to get dogs out of their kennel for play or social time every day — a basic concept that, unfortunately, is not yet a standard of care but DPFL is paving the way.
